Accounts Payable Bookkeeper

We are seeking an accounts payable bookkeeper to become an integral part of our team! Within our construction accounting software - Foundation, you will input construction project financial set-up information for all new jobs, create subcontractor purchase orders, send out for signature, process subcontractor change orders, input and process (+100) monthly invoices, seek project manager approval, once approved - post and generate check run for management signature.

Other Responsibilities;

• trend, manage, input and initiate payment for all overhead invoices
• trend, manage, input and initiate payment for employee auto expenses
• trend, manage, input and initiate payment for employee credit card expenses
• co-manage and supervise bank positive pay check and ACH process to prevent fraud

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in bookkeeping (strong preference in construction industry)
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
• Ability to manage multiple daily deliverables and responsibilities, working with multiple project managers and AR department
• Willingness and ability to manage daily urgencies when job set-ups, change orders and PO's become urgent
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented

Company DescriptionHunt Builders Corporation is a 40 year old Construction Manager located in downtown Cincinnati. Our core business is corporate tenant interiors, data center construction, with occasional ground up projects. We have approximately 21 management employees (mainly consisting of project managers and project superintendents) and do not have a construction workforce, equipment or tools.
