Job Title: Administrative Assistant, Part-Time/  
Reports to: CFO 
Location: Long Island City, NY
Requested Start Date: As soon as possible.

Position Summary: 
E-J Electric is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented / Part-Time Administrative Assistant to join our team. This position is ideal for a college student or early-career professional seeking hands-on experience in office administration, project coordination, and operations within the construction industry, working directly with the CFO. The role offers exposure to multiple facets of business operations in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the project and operations teams.
  • Assist with document management, including filing, organizing, and maintaining digital and physical records.
  • Help coordinate schedules, calendar invitations, and meetings.
  • Track and compile expense reports and assist with basic financial recordkeeping.
  • Support project coordination by assisting with logs, submittals, and compliance documentation.
  • Perform general office duties such as scanning, copying, ordering supplies, and maintaining the organization of workspaces.
  • Collaborate with team members to support ongoing company initiatives and administrative needs.
  • Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and meeting materials.

Qualifications:

  • Current college student or recent graduate ( fields: Business Administration, Construction Management, Communications, or related area).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Schedule:

  • Minimum of 20 hours per week guaranteed, in-person at our Long Island City office
  • Flexible scheduling is available to accommodate academic commitments.

Salary Range: $20 - $23/hour w/ experience and year taken into account
