Title:Associate, Infrastructure & Real Assets
Location: Boston
Start Date: Q1 2026 - Summer 2026
The Infrastructure and Real Assets team at HarbourVest Partners is hiring for a 2026 Associate for their Boston and London offices. The team invests across the full spectrum of infrastructure sectors-- including renewable energy, transportation, utilities, power, industrials, energy transition, and digital infrastructure- through primary commitments, separately managed accounts (SMAs), secondary transactions, liquidity solutions and direct co-investments alongside their robust network for GPs. With 17 transactions completed this year and several more expected before year-end, Associates can expect a high-velocity deal environment, hands on responsibility, and strong mentorship within a collaborative, flat team structure. The team is experiencing tremendous growth driven by strong investor demand for both infrastructure and private markets/ secondaries broadly.
About the Infrastructure/ Real Assets Team: The team is currently investing from its 3rd dedicated Infrastructure & Real Assets fund as well as its dedicated core evergreen infrastructure fund. Since 2014, the group has committed over $8 billion across the infrastructure and real assets universe. The team’s broad mandate enables strong across sectors, strategies and transactions types.

Role Responsibilities:
Associates will be involved in evaluating, executing, and monitoring investments across the secondary, primary, and co-investment markets within the infrastructure and real assets space. Responsibilities include:
- Screening new opportunities and contributing to early-stage investment assessments
- Building and reviewing financial models, valuations, and scenario analyses
- Performing detailed investment due diligence, including market research and competitive analysis
- Developing investment recommendations and materials for internal discussions
- Assisting in the negotiation of transaction terms and review of legal documentation
- Coordinating closings with internal teams, advisors, and external partners
- Supporting ongoing portfolio monitoring and performance evaluation
- Collaborating closely with senior team members, general partners, management teams, and advisors throughout the deal process
- Given the team’s lean structure, Associates play a significant role in shaping investment theses, evaluating pricing, and driving workstreams across transactions
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of Investment Banking or Private Equity experience is required
- Open to recent 2025 MBA graduates
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and valuation skills
- Excellent communication, project management, and teamwork abilities
- Demonstrated interest in private markets and infrastructure investing
