AV Solutions Architect
The AV Solutions Architect is a pre-sales technical professional with deep expertise in audiovisual systems and solutions. This role partners closely with customers, sales teams, and technical staff to assess existing environments and design scalable, high-quality AV solutions that align with clients' business and operational objectives.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Partner with sales account teams to identify, develop, and close client opportunities, supporting revenue growth.
- Lead pre-sales discussions to uncover, document, and define customer requirements for AV and data center solutions.
- Translate customer requirements into comprehensive functional system designs and architectures.
- Develop and support client proposals that incorporate tailored solution designs aligned with business needs.
- Review pre-construction designs, drawings, and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with technical design development, pricing, and identification of potential project risks or challenges.
- Create functional system documentation, including system descriptions and block diagrams.
- Identify cabling requirements, equipment lists, and other materials necessary for project execution.
- Provide detailed material and labor estimates to support accurate quoting.
- Serve as a technical liaison for customers regarding engineering and design-related inquiries.
- Support sales account executives by delivering technology updates, solution explanations, and technical guidance.
- Obtain and maintain required vendor and manufacturer certifications.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, information technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in the audiovisual industry.
- Demonstrated AV system design experience; CTS-D certification .
- Advanced computer skills related to the design, configuration, and operation of AV systems.
- Experience working with AV test and calibration equipment.
- Ability to support and participate in user acceptance testing.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex system issues.
- Proven ability to translate technical concepts into clear, value-driven business solutions.
- Experience creating accurate quotes and Statements of Work (SOWs) under tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including business writing proficiency.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
