Business Unit Leader - Civil Construction Services

As a Business Unit Leader, you will own the full financial, operational, and strategic performance of your assigned business unit within Autonomous Services. You will drive P&L results, lead and develop your team, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to standard. You set the direction for the unit, build the systems that make it run, and are accountable for the results.

Responsibilities

  • Own full P&L accountability including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.

  • Lead and develop managers, supervisors, and field teams across the unit.

  • Ensure all projects meet quality, safety, schedule, and cost targets.

  • Build revenue projections, evaluate pipeline health, and set margin expectations.

  • Drive operational efficiency through repeatable processes and performance standards.

  • Serve as executive point-of-contact for key customers within the business line.

  • Partner with HR on hiring, workforce planning, and performance management.

  • Identify growth opportunities and service expansions within the business line.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 8-12+ years in operations, project management, or business leadership.

  • Proven track record managing P&L, budgets, and financial performance.

  • Experience leading teams and delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects.

  • Background in civil, vertical, logistics, or agriculture operations .

  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational outcomes and hold teams accountable.

  • Strong communication and client relationship skills.

  • Ability to balance long-term strategy with daily operational demands.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position at a computer workstation for extended periods.

  • Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment continuously.

  • Ability to communicate and exchange information in person, via phone, and through electronic means.

  • Ability to traverse office, lab, data center, and field environments as required.

  • Ability to travel frequently and work outside standard business hours as operational needs require.
