Job Overview

 The Data Center Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the data center facility. This includes ensuring that all areas are kept clean, organized, and free from dust and debris, which is crucial for the optimal operation of sensitive electronic equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and Maintenance:
• Perform routine cleaning of data center floors, walls, and ceilings.
• Dust and wipe down all surfaces, including equipment racks, cabinets, and workstations.
• Ensure that entryways, aisles, and common areas are free of debris and obstacles.

Equipment Handling:

• Use appropriate cleaning tools and products to avoid damaging sensitive electronic equipment.
• Follow specified procedures for cleaning around electronic devices to prevent static discharge and contamination.

Waste Management:

• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste according to facility protocols.
• Handle recycling and proper disposal of electronic waste (e-waste).

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the supervisor immediately.
• Follow established protocols for entering and exiting secure areas of the data center.

Documentation:

• Maintain records of cleaning activities and report any irregularities or concerns to the facility manager.
• Participate in routine inspections and audits to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in a cleaning or janitorial role, preferably in a controlled environment.
• Skills: Attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and knowledge of cleaning techniques and products.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Other: Ability to pass a background check and adhere to strict security protocols.

Working Conditions:

• Environment: The role involves working in a temperature-controlled data center environment with high-tech equipment.
• Hours: Monday - Friday 6:30am-4:30pm

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40-45 Hours per week
