60-70+ hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate multiple electrical foremen, journeymen, apprentices, and subcontractors on data center construction projects.
- Plan daily and weekly work activities to ensure productivity and schedule adherence.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide leadership to maintain high performance in the field.
- Ensure crews are properly staffed and equipped to meet project demands.
Project Execution
- Oversee installation of electrical systems including power distribution, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, grounding, cable tray, and low/medium voltage systems.
- Interpret and execute electrical drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Coordinate electrical work with other trades to prevent conflicts and delays.
- Ensure installations meet design specifications, codes, and quality standards.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements on all job sites.
- Conduct regular safety meetings, job hazard analyses, and site inspections.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices at all times.
Quality Control
- Inspect work to verify compliance with project plans, codes, and industry standards.
- Identify and resolve installation issues or deficiencies promptly.
- Coordinate inspections with project management and local authorities.
Scheduling & Coordination
- Work with project managers and superintendents to maintain project schedules and milestones.
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and manpower planning.
- Track labor productivity and assist with cost control efforts.
Communication & Reporting
- Maintain clear communication with project management, field crews, and subcontractors.
- Provide progress updates and identify potential schedule or scope issues.
- Assist in documenting project changes, RFIs, and field reports.
Qualifications:
Required
- 5+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience.
- 3+ years in a leadership role (Foreman, Lead Foreman, or similar).
- Experience working on mission-critical or data center projects.
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of NEC and applicable electrical codes.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience with large-scale data center electrical infrastructure.
- Familiarity with switchgear, UPS systems, backup generators, and critical power distribution.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience coordinating multiple crews on fast-paced construction schedules.
