Position Summary:

Our client, a respected builder in the mission critical sector, is expanding its Texas Gulf Coast presence and seeking a Construction Manager with a strong civil background to lead data center construction in Corpus Christi. This is a high visibility role on a ground-up program where civil and sitework execution set the pace for everything that follows. The Construction Manager will serve as the on-site leader, driving schedule, quality, and safety while acting as a trusted point of contact for the client and design team.

The Construction Manager owns day-to-day execution of large-scale data center construction from site development through structural completion and handoff to MEP-intensive phases. The role blends hands-on field leadership with client-facing responsibility, managing subcontractors, coordinating with owners and engineers, and keeping complex civil scopes on schedule in a fast-track environment.

Responsibilities:
\n
\n
· Lead ground-up data center construction, with emphasis on civil and sitework packages including mass grading, earthwork, deep foundations, underground utilities, paving, and site drainage.
\n
· Direct daily field operations, supervising subcontractors and self-perform crews to maintain schedule, quality, and safety standards.
\n
· Serve as the primary on-site representative to the owner, functioning in a client-facing capacity on progress reporting, issue resolution, and milestone planning.
\n
· Coordinate with design teams, geotechnical consultants, and inspectors to resolve civil and structural issues in the field.
\n
· Manage project schedules, look-ahead planning, and sequencing across concurrent civil, structural, and building trades.
\n
· Oversee subcontractor buyout support, scope reviews, change management, and cost control in partnership with project management staff.
\n
· Enforce site safety programs and lead a zero-incident culture across all trades.
\n
· Ensure QA/QC compliance for concrete placement, structural work, and utility installation, including documentation and closeout.

Qualifications:
\n
\n
· A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field is ; equivalent field experience will be considered.
\n
· Proven experience managing ground-up commercial or industrial construction, with direct exposure to mission critical, data center, or comparable heavy civil and structural projects.
\n
· Strong command of civil scopes: earthwork, foundations, underground utilities, concrete, and site infrastructure.
\n
· Demonstrated ability to lead subcontractors and field teams on fast-track schedules.
\n
· Comfortable in a client-facing role with owners, engineers, and inspectors.
\n
· Working knowledge of scheduling tools (P6 or MS Project) and construction management platforms (Procore or similar).
\n
· OSHA 30 certification .
\n
· Ability to be based in or relocate to the Corpus Christi, Texas area.
\n
