Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead large-scale data center construction and deployment initiatives. This role is ideal for a hands-on project manager with a strong background in construction management, mission-critical facilities, and technical infrastructure deployments.
The Project Manager will serve as the primary onsite leader responsible for coordinating construction activities, vendors, contractors, facilities teams, and technical stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will drive project execution, manage schedules and dependencies, resolve issues proactively, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within scope.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead onsite execution of data center construction projects, infrastructure deployments, and facility buildouts.
- Coordinate activities across multiple vendors, contractors, trades, and technical workstreams.
- Manage project schedules, milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities.
- Serve as the primary liaison between customers, contractors, facilities teams, and executive stakeholders.
- Oversee MEP coordination, electrical infrastructure, low-voltage cabling, cooling systems, commissioning activities, and startup processes.
- Conduct site walks, project meetings, installation reviews, and progress reporting.
- Drive issue resolution, risk management, escalation management, and executive communications.
- Ensure vendors have appropriate access, materials, documentation, and scheduling alignment.
- Maintain adherence to safety, quality, compliance, and operational standards.
- Support commissioning, turnover, project closeout, and operational readiness activities.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of construction project management experience.
- Proven experience managing data center construction, mission-critical facilities, infrastructure deployments, or similar technical construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, low-voltage cabling, electrical infrastructure, startup and commissioning processes, and construction safety practices.
- Experience coordinating multiple vendors, contractors, and trades simultaneously.
- Strong project management skills including schedule planning, schedule controls, vendor management, risk management, issue resolution, and stakeholder communication.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with field teams, vendors, customers, and executive leadership.
- Self-starter with strong work ethic, accountability, adaptability, and desire to learn.
Qualifications
- Experience working in union labor environments and coordinating union workforce activities.
- Background supporting hyperscale, colocation, enterprise data centers, semiconductor facilities, or other high-density technical environments.
- Familiarity with commissioning, startup, and turnover processes.
- Experience managing projects involving power distribution, cooling systems, structured cabling, networking infrastructure, and critical facility operations.
