QA/QC Specialist – Data Center
About the Role
The QA/QC Specialist is responsible for ensuring construction, installation, and operational activities meet established quality standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines. This role supports data center delivery by performing inspections, audits, issue tracking, and documentation management while driving continuous improvement through training, reporting, and quality system oversight. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and customer-focused, with experience supporting mission-critical environments.
What You’ll Do
- Inspect procedures, specifications, methods, and installation results to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Review project and task documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to customer submission.
- Verify use of the latest approved corporate quality procedures and client installation standards.
- Investigate and document client quality issues and complaints, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Evaluate and approve new materials prior to field installation.
- Conduct internal audits to verify compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Perform routine visual inspections across project spaces and document findings.
- Maintain completed inspection checklists and upload records to the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Track, manage, and close quality issues within the QMS, ensuring timely updates and resolution.
- Provide daily and weekly QA/QC status updates to on-site management.
- Prepare and deliver timely reports and trend analysis for leadership.
- Support demand planning and scheduling activities to ensure effective quality coverage.
- Deliver quality-focused training to field and operations teams.
- Promote and apply best practices across all project activities.
- Comply with all company safety rules, procedures, and client requirements.
- Provide responsive, flexible, and cost-effective customer-focused support.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Process Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in quality assurance, operations, or process improvement.
- Professional certifications such as Six Sigma, Quality Engineer, or Quality Auditor .
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC terminology, methodologies, and tools.
- Proven ability to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities within processes and workflows.
- Analytical and strategic thinking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation and reporting capabilities.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Leadership and mentoring skills with confidence driving change initiatives.
