Construction Safety Professional (Semiconductor Manufacturing Project)
Location: Phoenix, AZ

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Professional to support a large-scale semiconductor manufacturing facility construction project. This position will be responsible for promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with regulatory and client requirements, and partnering with project teams to proactively identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction safety, experience working in complex industrial environments, and the ability to engage effectively with contractors, craft personnel, and project leadership.

Key Responsibilities
•Provide daily on-site safety support for construction activities on a major semiconductor manufacturing project.
• Conduct routine field inspections, audits, and observations to ensure compliance with company, client, and regulatory safety requirements.
• Identify potential hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead and participate in incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action tracking.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), permits, and safe work plans.
• Facilitate safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training initiatives.
• Support contractor safety management and verify compliance with site-specific EHS requirements.
• Monitor high-risk activities including confined space entry, lockout/tagout, energized electrical work, hot work, fall protection, and hazardous material handling.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, inspections, and compliance records.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, and construction teams to drive continuous safety improvement.
• Serve as a safety resource and advisor to all levels of project personnel.

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years of professional safety experience, preferably supporting construction, industrial, manufacturing, or mission-critical projects.
• EHS certification or a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related scientific discipline.
• Valid OSHA 510 (Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry) certification for construction-focused candidates, or OSHA 511 certification for operations-focused candidates.
• Specialized safety training in one or more of the following:
o HAZWOPER
o Electrical Safety Standards (ESS)
o NFPA 70E
o Confined Space Entry
o Fall Protection
o Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
o Other relevant safety certifications or training
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications
• Experience supporting semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, data center, pharmaceutical, or other high-tech construction projects.
• Professional certifications such as CHST, ASP, CSP, CIH, or equivalent.
• Experience working with large EPC, general contractor, or owner-led construction projects.
• Knowledge of contractor safety management systems and behavior-based safety programs.
