Job DescriptionJob Description
WHEN CONTROL DEFINES RELIABILITY.
This isn’t programming from behind a desk.
It’s precision in live systems — where power, cooling, and automation intersect.
You’ll install, calibrate, and maintain control systems that keep mission-critical facilities stable and synchronized 24/7.
TRIFECTA deploys Controls Technicians who understand how every signal, relay, and logic loop affects uptime — specialists who make complex systems work together flawlessly under pressure.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
• PLC Installation & Programming — Install, wire, and configure Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Modicon controllers in live environments.
• System Integration — Interface with electrical, mechanical, and network systems; ensure smooth communication between BMS, EPMS, and SCADA layers.
• Instrumentation & Calibration — Set up and verify sensors, transmitters, and actuators for temperature, flow, pressure, and vibration systems.
• Panel Wiring & Testing — Build, label, and terminate control panels; verify inputs/outputs and perform loop checks.
• Troubleshooting & Diagnostics — Identify and correct logic, wiring, or communication faults in PLC and relay-based systems.
• Preventive Maintenance — Inspect, clean, and validate control components during scheduled PMs; ensure uptime and compliance.
• Commissioning Support — Participate in FAT, SAT, and IST testing for automation and monitoring systems.
• Safety & Documentation — Follow NFPA 70E, NEC, and OSHA standards; update drawings, logs, and maintenance records accurately.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
• 4+ Years in Industrial, Data Center, or Mission-Critical Controls environments.
• Hands-on experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and I/O configuration.
• Strong knowledge of VFDs, MCCs, and control circuits.
• Familiarity with BMS/EPMS, SCADA, and network protocols (Modbus, BACnet, Ethernet/IP).
• Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics, control drawings, and one-lines.
• Current NFPA 70E & OSHA 10; proven LOTO discipline.
• Available to travel and work on rotating shifts or rapid deployments.
SKILLS
• Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 / Siemens TIA Portal programming experience.
• Experience with building automation or energy management systems.
• Low-voltage installation, terminations, or fiber-optic experience.
• Commissioning and testing (FAT/SAT/IST) background.
• Electrical or mechanical trade certification a plus.
WHAT YOU’LL EARN & WHY IT MATTERS
• Top 1% of Pay — $37–$50/hr base + OT
• Paid Weekly — Every Friday reflects your precision.
• Career Growth — Advance from Controls Technician → Controls Engineer → Automation Specialist.
