Position Summary

The Data Center Construction Superintendent is responsible for on-site leadership and management of construction activities for mission-critical data center projects. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the quality standards required for data center environments, including strict adherence to cleanliness, commissioning, and security protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day field operations, including scheduling, sequencing, and coordination of trade partners and subcontractors
  • \n

  • Enforce site safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA and client-specific safety requirements
  • \n

  • Coordinate closely with MEP trades on critical infrastructure installations (power, cooling, generators, UPS systems, BMS)
  • \n

  • Oversee quality control and quality assurance processes specific to data center build standards (Uptime Institute Tier ratings, cleanroom protocols, etc.)
  • \n

  • Manage project schedule using tools such as Procore, Primavera P6, or MS Project
  • \n

  • Conduct daily/weekly site walks, safety huddles, and progress meetings with subcontractors
  • \n

  • Interface with client representatives, commissioning agents, and design teams
  • \n

  • Track and report on manpower, productivity, and progress against milestones
  • \n

  • Support pre-commissioning and commissioning phases alongside MEP and controls teams
  • \n

  • Maintain strict site security and access control protocols common to data center construction
  • \n

  • Manage RFIs, submittals, and punch list processes through closeout
  • \n
