Job Description

Title: Data Center Technician (2 openings)

Location(s): Wilson, North Carolina and Zebulon, North Carolina

Environment: Onsite 5x/week 2nd shift

Hours: 3pm - 12am EST Mon-Fri

Duration: 18 month contract (possible FTE)

Pay: $40-$44/hour W2

** this is 2nd shift (3pm-12 am)

Data Center Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Center Technician to join the infrastructure operations team at one of our enterprise clients. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in installing network devices and cabling, along with a solid understanding of data center environments and infrastructure best practices.

Minimum Requirements

• Min 3+ years years of experience installing network devices and cabling
• Strong understanding of data center environments
• Proficient in racking and stacking equipment, running fiber and copper cables, and basic troubleshooting
• Experience operating and installing computing equipment including servers, storage, networking gear, and telecom hardware
• Familiarity with infrastructure cabling concepts and standards
• Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve network and hardware issues
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to assist with shipping, receiving, and distribution of IT hardware and components

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and process equipment deliveries
• Configure server cabinets and related hardware
• Rack, stack, and cable servers, switches, and other data center devices
• Perform cable testing and labeling
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and cabling issues
• Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation of interfaces and installations
