Data Centre Engineer - West London \n£42k inclusive of shift allowance\n\n24/7 shift pattern (4 on / 4 off - days & nights)\nWe're looking for a Multi-Skilled Data Centre Engineer to join a high-performing team supporting a prestigious international financial environment.\nKey responsibilities:\n* Day-to-day Data Centre operations (installs, decommissions, moves, changes)\n* Change & incident management with SLA ownership\n* Racking, stacking, cabling, patching, and hardware support\n* Vendor escorting and supervision\n* Asset tracking, documentation, and inventory control\n* Supporting infrastructure upgrades, outages, and maintenance windows\n* Basic server config (iDRAC / iLO) and fault escalation\n* Ensuring strict adherence to DC standards, security, and H&S compliance\nWhat we're looking for:\n* Experience in Data Centre or high-risk infrastructure environments\n* Strong understanding of networking & infrastructure concepts\n* Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g. ServiceNow / Remedy)\n* Confident working under pressure and on own initiative\n* Strong attention to detail and documentation skills\n* Flexible approach to shift work (24/7 environment)\n* Good communication and teamwork skills\nIf you're hands-on, detail-driven, and enjoy working in mission-critical environments, this could be a great next step.\n\n@mecscomms: uniting opportunity with ambition in Telecoms | Media | Technology\n\n@mecscomms is the brand name of MECS Communications Ltd who provide permanent & contract recruitment consultancy service as an Employment Agency & Employment Business. \n\nFor more information or a list of current vacancies, please see our web site at mecscomms.co.uk
