Role: Design Coordinator\nLocation: St Albans\nSalary £65,000 + package\nThe Role\nAfter a series of project wins an exciting opportunity has arisen at one of UK’s largest main contractors.\nThey are looking to recruit a Design Coordinator to join the team to work on a series of hospital refurbishment projects with a total value of circa £25m.\nA highly successful company working on some of the UK’s most prestigious construction projects with an annual turnover more than £2bn and over 2000 employees nationwide, they have a great reputation within the industry.\nThey cover a range of sectors including Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Education, Commercial, blue light, Custodial, Data centres and Distribution.\nThe particular role would suit a Design Coordinator who is keen to take the next step into a Design Managers role.\nKey Accountabilities will include:\n * Manage the proposals\n * Produce and negotiate the project specific designer agreements scope of works and the design management plan, ensuring they are agreed and fully understood by all parties\n * Ensure the project design is reviewed, mitigating Health & Safety issues\n * Produce & manage a realistic design programme & information required schedule satisfying design, procurement & construction requirements\n * Lead the design team on site managing the design consultants\n * Leading design team meetings with key stakeholders\n * Provide input into the design team PDR's\nCandidate Experience\n * The successful individual will have worked for a main contractor or as lead Architect\n * Healthcare experience is desirable but essential.\n * The individual could have held the previous titles; Design Manager, Assistant Design Manager, Design Coordinator, Project Architect or Junior Design Manager and will have experience taking projects from inception through to completion.\nThe Plus Points\nThis is a great opportunity to further your career with this leading main contractor and work in a stable environment.
