EdgeCore is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Director, Architecture to join our dynamic team and help design the next of hyperscale data center infrastructure. You’ll be a key technical leader driving engineering strategy from an operational perspective through full-cycle design and execution, working closely with construction, operations, and customer-facing teams. Your work will directly influence how EdgeCore delivers and operates reliable, efficient, and forward-thinking infrastructure solutions to top-tier clients. - Collaborate closely with construction and operations teams to design CSA systems that balance cost-efficiency, long-term reliability, and sustainability.
- Drive creation of EdgeCore standards including Basis of Design
- Oversee the entire CSA design lifecycle—from initial conceptualization and documentation through commissioning oversight and operations—ensuring alignment with EdgeCore’s performance standards.
- Lead vendor selection and evaluation for CSA equipment.
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert in client engagements, including site walkthroughs, proposal development, and customized solution presentations.
- Develop and continuously improve engineering standards, tools, and methodologies to ensure consistency and scalability across the portfolio.
- Review and approve technical deliverables, such as schematics, submittals, and reports for accuracy and compliance.
- Lead and participate in on-site inspections and design coordination meetings to validate construction quality and adherence to design intent.
- Support the creation and deployment of future-ready design frameworks in support of EdgeCore’s growth and innovation roadmap.
- Partner with cross-functional teams—including Development, Operations, Procurement, and Sales—to deliver holistic engineering solutions aligned with broader business objectives.
- Contribute to new product development and innovation initiatives that advance EdgeCore’s competitive edge in the data center space.
- Create and lead standards for CSA
Your Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Structural or Civil Engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in data center Architecture, or a closely related field.
- Strong understanding of North American construction practices and engineering market dynamics.
- Licensed Architect or PE .
- Demonstrated ability to perform detailed technical assessments and feasibility studies using data-driven methods.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively across diverse teams and with external partners.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and design tools including AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and other relevant engineering platforms.
What We Offer
- This is a full-time salaried position, including equity compensation and a performance-based annual bonus
- This role requires in-office presence four days per week
- We are open to candidates who live within a reasonable commuting distance to either Denver, CO, Mesa, AZ, Reno, NV, or Sterling, VA, or are open to relocating near one of these locations
- Base salary range is $185,000-220,000, depending on experience
