Director of Construction – Data Centre Projects

Dallas–Fort Worth, TX (Hybrid / Regional travel)

Full-time | Senior Leadership Role

$180,000 - $190,000 + great bonus + full benefits

About the Company:

We’re working with a leading U.S. data centre developer and operator delivering large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure for hyperscale and enterprise clients.

The business uniquely integrates development, construction, and operations in-house, giving its leadership team full control over quality, delivery speed, and long-term asset performance. With multiple major campuses live and under development across the U.S., they are continuing to scale their senior construction leadership function.

The Role:

As Director of Construction, you will take senior responsibility for the delivery of large-scale data centre projects and campuses across Texas and the wider Southeast region.

This is a hands-on leadership role combining regional oversight with direct project execution, working closely with subcontractors, consultants, internal delivery teams, and executive stakeholders.

You’ll be accountable for schedule, cost, quality, safety, and team leadership across multiple concurrent projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide regional leadership across multiple data centre construction programmes
• Lead site teams on large campus developments and individual facilities
• Own project budgets, schedules, and subcontractor/vendor performance
• Coordinate GCs, consultants, inspectors, and local authorities
• Drive quality control, safety compliance, and construction standards
• Resolve delivery risks, sequencing conflicts, and contractor performance issues
• Oversee inspections, punch lists, handovers, and commissioning readiness
• Support hiring, mentoring, and development of project & field teams
• Act as senior owner’s representative on complex mission-critical builds

About You:

We’re looking for a senior construction leader with experience delivering complex, technically demanding facilities.

Ideal background:

• 8–15+ years in construction leadership (Director / Senior PM / Construction Manager level)
• Experience with data centres, mission-critical, industrial, or large commercial builds
• Strong understanding of MEP-heavy environments
• Proven ability to lead multiple projects and large site teams
• Comfortable operating client-side or as senior owner’s representative
• Strong commercial acumen (budgets, contracts, subcontractors, scheduling)
• Proficient with tools such as MS Project, Procore, Excel (Yardi / Prolog a plus)
