Job Description

An exciting opportunity exists for a senior electrical leader to provide technical authority across a growing portfolio of hyperscale data centre developments in the UK and Europe. This is a client side opportunity for a hyperscale developer.

Reporting to the Head of Construction, this role operates at portfolio level, not site level, shaping, assuring, and protecting the delivery of critical high- and medium-voltage infrastructure across multiple live projects.

This is a position for someone who understands that in hyperscale environments, power is everything.

The Role

You will act as the subject matter expert for HV and MV electrical infrastructure, ensuring systems are delivered safely, reliably, and in full compliance with performance and operational standards.

Working across design, construction, commissioning, and handover phases, you will:

• Provide senior technical leadership across multiple hyperscale developments
• Oversee and assure HV/MV infrastructure delivery from concept through energisation
• Maintain governance frameworks that provide clear visibility of risk, progress, and performance
• Support design reviews and challenge technical solutions where required
• Ensure commissioning readiness and structured handover to operations
• Identify and mitigate technical and sequencing risks early
• Engage directly with utilities, OEMs, contractors, and delivery partners
• Contribute to commercial and procurement decisions where power infrastructure is business-critical
• Drive continuous improvement in standards and delivery processes as the portfolio scales

The Profile

This role requires an experienced HV professional who:

• Has delivered complex HV/MV infrastructure on large-scale or mission-critical projects
• Understands grid interfaces, substations, and critical power distribution
• Is confident operating at programme and executive level
• Brings strong risk awareness and technical judgement
• Can influence delivery partners without direct line management
• Thrives in fast-paced, growth-focused environments
• Data centre or mission-critical experience is highly desirable.
