We are supporting a live data centre project in Amarillo, Texas and are looking to engage experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineers and Commissioning Technicians to join the team.
This is a long-term opportunity on a major mission-critical build, working through key commissioning and integration phases on complex electrical infrastructure.
The Role
You will be responsible for commissioning, testing, and validating electrical systems, ensuring they operate safely, reliably, and in line with design intent.
Key Responsibilities
• Commissioning and functional testing of electrical systems
• Working across MV and LV distribution systems
• Testing and validation of UPS systems, switchgear, generators and ATS/STS
• Supporting energisation, load bank testing and system integration
• Reviewing and executing commissioning scripts and procedures
• Identifying, troubleshooting and resolving system issues through to handover
• Supporting integrated systems testing (IST) and final commissioning phases
What We’re Looking For
• Strong hands-on commissioning experience within data centres or mission-critical environments
• Experience with MV/LV systems, switchgear, UPS, generators and backup power systems
• Solid understanding of power distribution and critical infrastructure
• Ability to read and interpret single line diagrams, schematics and test procedures
• Experience working through L2–L5 commissioning phases
• Candidates who understand system operation and sequence, not just installation
While the focus is electrical, we are also working closely with the mechanical commissioning team, so candidates with broader system awareness will add strong value.
Why This Role
• Long-term 12–18 month contract
• Opportunity to work on a high-profile data centre project
• Involvement across key commissioning and integration phases
• Competitive hourly rates (W2)
