Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in medium-voltage systems to join our team. In this role, you will design and support the electrical components of QES products, including switchgear, PDCs, and modular housing units, ensuring they meet customer requirements, industry standards, and internal quality expectations.

This role is ideal for someone with hands-on engineering experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for building high-performance, custom electrical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop medium-voltage electrical systems, including switchgear, protection schemes, distribution layouts, and control integration
• Support engineering and design of low- and high-voltage components as part of full-system solutions
• Produce engineering drawings, specifications, wiring diagrams, and calculations in accordance with NEC, IEEE, NFPA, UL, and customer standards
• Perform load analysis, arc-flash studies, and short-circuit calculations using software such as SKM or ETAP
• Collaborate with project managers, production teams, and field technicians to support manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical systems, including switchgear, PDCs, VFDs, and modular electrical housing (E-Houses)
• Review customer technical documents and requirements to ensure alignment with QES capabilities and industry regulations
• Prepare engineering documentation, submittals, BOMs, and compliance records
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, efficiency, and reliability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (required)
• 3+ years of electrical engineering experience, with a strong focus on medium-voltage systems
• Knowledge of power distribution equipment, switchgear, motor controls, and protection systems
• Experience in industries such as industrial manufacturing, commercial construction, power , or utilities
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar drafting tools; experience with SKM/ETAP
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and compliance requirements
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, one-line diagrams, and wiring diagrams
• Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
