Electrical Engineer | Houston, TX

Responsibilities

•Independently lead the design, development, and evaluation of electrical systems for medium-sized projects, with a focus on power , transmission, and storage

•Produce conceptual and detailed electrical designs, drawings, calculations, and specifications in compliance with industry codes and client requirements

•Prepare estimates, staffing plans, schedules, and performance reports

•Develop scopes of work and support procurement activities

•Coordinate with clients, systems engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues and ensure project success

•Perform power system analyses using ETAP

•Create detailed AutoCAD electrical drawings

•Size and specify electrical equipment, review vendor submittals, and provide technical oversight

•Mentor junior engineers to maintain quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across deliverables

Qualifications

•Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required; Master’s degree

•Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in electrical systems design for complex facilities such as industrial plants, data centers, or government infrastructure projects

•Strong knowledge of NFPA 70, electrical codes, and engineering standards

•Proficiency with AutoCAD, ETAP, AGi32, and Microsoft Office

•Expertise in detailed electrical design, equipment specification, and power system analysis

•U.S. citizenship required (for federal facility access)

•Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; must pass background check and drug screening

•Valid Real ID-compliant driver’s license required

•Strong communication skills and proven ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams

•Experience mentoring junior engineers

Qualifications

•Professional Engineer (PE) license

•Experience with Department of Defense or government agencies

•Familiarity with Specs Intact, Smart Plant 3D, and Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC)

•Experience under ISO-9000 quality assurance programs

Pay

$135,000 – $180,000 Per Year

Schedule

Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Anticipated Start Date: October 1, 2025
