Job Title: Electrical Estimator

At 48 Electric, we power some of the most mission-critical facilities in Arizona—from large-scale data centers to complex industrial projects—built on a reputation of Safety, Quality, and Integrity.

Behind every successful project is a well-built estimate. As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a critical role in setting our projects up for success by delivering accurate, detailed, and competitive bids—especially in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.

We’re looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic construction setting and understands the precision required for electrical estimating in data center and critical infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating & Preconstruction

• Prepare accurate and comprehensive electrical estimates for commercial, industrial, and mission-critical projects
• Perform detailed material takeoffs and labor estimates based on project drawings and specifications
• Analyze electrical designs, blueprints, and construction documents to develop complete bid packages

Data Center & Mission-Critical Estimating

• Support estimating efforts for data center and mission-critical construction projects
• Understand and account for the complexity, redundancy, and critical path requirements of these environments
• Identify potential risks, gaps, and cost impacts during preconstruction

Procore & Bid Management

• Utilize Procore for estimating, bid management, and document control
• Manage bid invitations, track submissions, and maintain organized project documentation
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners throughout the bidding process

Scope Development & Documentation

• Develop clear scopes of work, inclusions, and exclusions for each estimate
• Ensure all bids are complete, accurate, and aligned with project requirements
• Assist in leveling bids and evaluating subcontractor/vendor proposals

Communication & Project Handoff

• Collaborate closely with project managers and operations teams
• Provide thorough handoff of awarded projects, including estimate details, assumptions, and risks
• Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders throughout the preconstruction process

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in commercial or industrial construction
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and design documents
• Experience with data center or mission-critical projects strongly
• Demonstrated expertise in material takeoffs and labor estimating
• Familiarity with NEC ( Electrical Code) and NFPA standards
• Hands-on experience with Procore (estimating and bid management )
• Strong understanding of scope development, inclusions, and exclusions
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across teams
• High attention to detail and accuracy under deadlines
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• No smoking during work shifts

Work Schedule & Benefits

• Monday through Friday, starting at 6:30 AM (some Saturdays required)
