Electrical Estimator

Job DescriptionJob Description

ParkerBeth is hiring for a Mid-Level Electrical Estimator – Roseville, CA
Hiring on behalf of a growing commercial/industrial electrical contractor.

About the Company

Our client is an established and steadily expanding electrical contractor serving commercial, industrial, and data center customers across CA, NV, ID, OR, and WA. They have built a strong reputation for reliability, safety, and high-quality electrical and special hazard fire alarm work, including major data center projects. With a California presence growing since 2010, they are strategically building a long-term, high-performing team in the Roseville region.

Position Summary

We’re looking for a Mid-Level Electrical Estimator who understands how electrical work gets built — someone with hands-on field experience or an electrical apprenticeship foundation who is ready to step confidently into a professional estimating role. You should be comfortable counting quantities, assembling basic bids, writing clean scopes, and learning estimating software as you grow.

This is an in-office role based in Roseville with long-term growth potential inside a structured, quality-driven organization. You’ll support bids for commercial, industrial, and data center electrical scopes, working closely with leadership and project teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare quantity takeoffs for electrical systems using plans, specifications, and design documents.
  • Assist in building full estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
  • Draft clear scopes, inclusions/exclusions, and written proposals.
  • Participate in bid reviews and strategy discussions.
  • Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
  • Support project turnover by reviewing awarded scopes with PMs and field leadership.
  • Maintain organized bid files, documents, and version control.
  • Continue building skillsets in estimating software and electrical construction planning (training provided).

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–5 years in electrical construction, service, or as an apprentice.
  • Strong understanding of electrical installation methods, materials, and sequencing.
  • Ability to complete quantity takeoffs and interpret contract documents.
  • Some exposure to estimating tools (Bluebeam, Accubid, PlanSwift, ConEst, etc.) — or strong ability to learn quickly.
  • Tech-friendly and comfortable working with digital plan sets.
  • Strong communication skills, detail-oriented, dependable, and accountable.
  • Experience supporting the estimation of commercial or industrial electrical bids.
  • Knowledge of data center electrical systems or special hazard systems.
  • Prior roles as an installer, foreman, or service electrician.

Compensation

Hourly: $34.00 – $41.00/hr
Salary Equivalent: $70,000 – $85,000 annually
Compensation is based on experience, technical capability, estimating exposure, and speed of learning.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Career path toward Lead Estimator or PM.
  • Work for a company that invests in training, certifications, and advancement.
  • Stable, well-run, and performance-focused environment.
  • Strong industry pipeline including commercial, industrial, and data center clients.
  • A leadership team committed to building a long-term, California-based workforce that is growing across the west coast.
