Electrical Package Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Package Manager to join a leading contractor delivering complex, high-performance facilities across Europe. Our work spans mission-critical environments, advanced manufacturing, data centres, and life-science infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a central role in managing the complete electrical scope on a major project in Frankfurt, ensuring technical excellence, programme certainty, and safe project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Package Leadership & Delivery

  • Oversee all elements of the electrical systems package, from planning through to commissioning and handover.
  • Coordinate daily on-site electrical activities to maintain progress and achieve project milestones.
  • Lead package meetings, track progress, manage manpower levels, and ensure alignment with the overall project program

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Maintain a strong safety culture in partnership with the Project Manager and Safety Team, ensuring full compliance with company and statutory requirements.
  • Manage the electrical quality assurance process, including setup, oversight, documentation, and final close-out of QA records.
  • Promote and enforce high standards of environmental, health, and quality performance across the team and subcontractors.

Commercial & Cost Control

  • Manage financial aspects of the electrical package including subcontractor costs, labour hours, variations, valuations, and equipment requirements.
  • Track procurement, material deliveries, and goods receipting to support accurate weekly cost reporting.
  • Contribute to final account preparation, O&M documentation, and the overall commercial close-out of the project.

Coordination & Stakeholder Interface

  • Work closely with the Project Manager, consulting engineers, client representatives, and subcontractors to ensure full alignment with design intent and client expectations.
  • Provide weekly internal and external progress reports highlighting achievements, risks, constraints, and percentage completion against WBS codes.
  • Attend all relevant project meetings, including engineering reviews, coordination sessions, safety briefings, and handover workshops.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain site records including progress photographs, material schedules, snag lists, and package-related documentation.
  • Manage the project’s in-progress snagging system, ensuring timely updates and distribution of punch lists to subcontractors.

Candidate Profile: Skills & Experience

  • Recognised trade background or relevant engineering qualification.
  • 5–10+ years’ experience overseeing large-scale electrical installation projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage major subcontractors.
  • Strong understanding of industrial relations and workforce management.
  • Solid knowledge of safety legislation and compliance within construction environments.
  • Previous experience working on design-and-build projects.
  • Strong technical capability in both electrical systems and general MEP coordination.
  • Advanced IT skills and familiarity with project management tools.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines.
  • Proven capability to drive delivery on high-value, fast-paced construction projects.
