Pre-Construction Manager – Electrical Contracting (DFW)
Compensation: $150,000 – $160,000
Location: Dallas–Fort Worth (local or willing to relocate)
Type: Full-Time | In-Person
Overview
A leading electrical contractor in the DFW market is searching for a Pre-Construction Manager with a true electrical engineering mindset. This role is for someone who can own conceptual estimating, communicate confidently with clients and engineers, and anticipate project needs early.
You’ll support large-scale electrical scopes on 10–20M+ ground-up builds, with heavy involvement in healthcare, data centers, and other complex commercial projects. Ideal candidates are currently in an electrical estimating, preconstruction, or Chief Estimator–type position and still love the hands-on technical work.
What You’ll Do
• Handle early-stage conceptual estimating for large electrical scopes
• Engage directly with clients, engineers, and internal teams
• Support design evaluation, constructability, and project direction
• Produce budgets, conceptual takeoffs, and detailed precon deliverables
• Review drawings and early project documents to guide planning
• Work closely with business development and leadership
• Use Bluebeam (heavy), Excel (heavy), ACCUbid, and Conest daily
This role does not involve managing anyone at this time — it’s a hands-on preconstruction position.
Requirements
• Strong electrical estimating background (required)
• Electrical engineering mindset — understands design intent and how to build
• Experience supporting 10–20M+ ground-up electrical projects
• Strong client-facing communication skills
• Heavy proficiency in Bluebeam, Excel, ACCUbid, Conest
• Comfortable with healthcare, data centers, or complex commercial sectors
• Must be local to DFW or open to relocating
• Familiarity with other major electrical contractors in the region is a plus
