Electrical Project Manager (M&E Contractor)

Monday – Friday | 8:00am – 5:00pm (flexible depending on project demands)

We are working with a growing M&E contractor based in Barbican, delivering projects across London, Essex, and Kent.

The company specialises in small M&E packages and fit-outs, while also providing consultancy services to Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers. Their primary focus is commercial offices and data centres, alongside selected residential schemes. Projects are a mix of new build and refurbishment works, delivered within live and occupied environments.

With a turnover of £4 million and a team of 14, this is a close-knit business looking for a professional, well-rounded Electrical Project Manager who can build strong client relationships and integrate into a collaborative team. They value individuals who are sensible, client-facing, and comfortable being office- or site-based depending on project requirements.

Projects are typically located across Central London, Essex (including Basildon), and Kent. Depending on the scheme, you may be based on-site, in their Barbican office, or occasionally at a client’s office. They are open to discussing flexible or hybrid arrangements where appropriate.

You will take responsibility for full project delivery, working closely with internal teams and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-end project delivery
Managing commercial and data centre fit-out packages
Overseeing both new build and refurbishment projects
Programme management and reporting
Client liaison and stakeholder coordination
Budget management and commercial oversight
Coordination of subcontractors and site teams
Ensuring health & safety compliance
Quality control and successful project handover
Candidate Requirements

Proven experience delivering M&E projects (commercial essential; data centre experience advantageous)
Strong understanding of both technical and commercial aspects of delivery
Comfortable working in live environments
Professional, client-facing approach
Ability to operate within a small, collaborative team
Flexible and adaptable to project demands
Salary & Package

Circa £65,000+ basic salary (depending on experience and skill set)
Company car / fuel card or travel expenses included
20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
Discretionary Christmas shutdown (subject to project requirements)
