Now Hiring: Electrical Technician

Phiston Technologies is seeking a hands-on Electrical Technician to support wiring, testing, and troubleshooting of industrial shredding and material handling equipment at our Miramar facility.

This is a shop-based, hands-on role working directly on industrial machines — not a desk job.

Responsibilities

  • Wire industrial machines and electrical control panels
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Test electrical systems using multimeters and diagnostic tools
  • Troubleshoot motors, sensors, relays, contactors, VFDs, and safety circuits
  • Assist with PLC troubleshooting and I/O checks
  • Support machine commissioning and equipment validation
  • Follow lockout/tagout and electrical safety procedures
  • Document electrical changes and updates

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of industrial electrical experience
  • Strong ability to read electrical diagrams
  • Experience troubleshooting 120V / 240V / 480V systems
  • Familiarity with PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens a plus)
  • Experience with VFDs, HMIs, and industrial controls
  • Comfortable working on manufacturing or heavy equipment
  • Electrical certification or trade school
  • Electrical Engineering degree NOT required
