Engineering Supervisor - Data Centre\n\nThis role provides assistance and support to the Senior Buildings Manager in the coordination and delivery of core buildings related services for staff and clients.\n\nEnsuring that the works being carried out by the client / contractor is to the specified standard and to report on maintenance performance and the condition of buildings services.\n\n * have previous in critical environments\n\n * HVAC experience critical\n\n * BMS experience critical\n\n * Formal qualification(s) in related engineering\n\n * subjects\n\n * Knowledge of project management\n\n * processes\n\n * Previous experience of working to and within ISO regulated processes and procedures.\n\n * Experience of statutory compliance (eg\n\n * FGAS, L8, lighting, fire, FWT etc)\n\n * Experience with IAC’s\n\n * Mechanical engineering background \n\nAssisting in the development and execution of engineering works with regard to project delivery for Operations Specific responsibilities for:\n\n Assisting in the development and execution of engineering works with\n\nregard to project delivery for Operations\n\n Coordination/Liaison with contractors for designated engineering\n\nprojects\n\n Responsible for reviewing of risk assessments and method statements\n\n Responsible for supervising small works installation and building\n\nmaintenance works\n\n Assist in ensuring site working practices are being upheld for the\n\nfollowing;\n\nPermit for Access\nHot working\nFire system isolation/operation\nPermit for cable installation access\nContractors signing in procedures\n\n Responsible for signing off of completed works by maintenance\ncontractors or others as necessary\n\n Responsible for checking quality of maintenance\n\n Review and approve all Risk Assessments and Method Statements\npresented to the Operations department\n\n Oversee all works occurring in the operating buildings\n\n Act as point of reference for completion and final acceptance of works\n\n Provide technical operations information and support to all external parties\nin the preparation of works\n\n Ensure that all O&M data is correctly recorded, filed and kept up to date\n\n Assist in carrying out audits and condition surveys, programme for works including cost estimates and works programmes. Ensuring that clients are properly advised of statutory obligations.\n\n Assist in ensuring that maintenance of building systems meets legislative and health and safety requirements;\n\n Support the commissioning, organising and assessing the work of contractors;\n\n Assist in overseeing and supervising the installation of building systems and specifying maintenance and operating procedures\n\n Responsible for the budget management and financial control of works within remit\n Responsible for understanding and following procurement/tender processes for works within remit\n Close working with the 3rd party DCFMS supplier on maintenance works, reactive works and capital projects
