Switchboard is seeking an Enterprise Architect on behalf of our client, Open Technology Solutions (OTS). As the Enterprise Architect for Infrastructure, you will help define and guide the evolution of OTS' technology strategy and architecture to enable and support the needs of credit union partners across the consortium. In this senior role reporting to the Chief Architect, you will shape the foundational services, patterns, and platforms that enable scale, security, and efficiency across the enterprise.

This role emphasizes technology strategy, stakeholder alignment, architectural governance, and platform engineering, with deep functional and technical expertise in digital infrastructure paired with the ability to work across domains, especially security. You will work extensively with stakeholders across the consortium to influence business and technical direction at the enterprise level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve strategies for enterprise-wide architecture programs to enable scalable, secure, and maintainable digital technologies across the consortium.
  • Partner with engineering, cybersecurity, infrastructure, data, and product teams to design and implement reusable platform capabilities, infrastructure services, and APIs.
  • Drive architectural consistency and modernization across functional areas and teams by promoting platform-centric efficiencies such as automation, observability, , and integration.
  • Lead architectural decision-making for transformation efforts and major initiatives, balancing near-term project needs with long-term, enterprise architecture direction.
  • Evaluate legacy systems and infrastructure and recommend modernization strategies that align with business goals and engineering best practices.
  • Serve as the lead technology authority for all products in use within domain of responsibility.
  • Collaboratively establish domain-specific architecture principles, policies, rules, and measurements that support developer enablement, operational excellence, platform lifecycle management, and governance methods.
  • Lead and participate in governance processes such as architecture design reviews, solution design reviews, and architecture council forums.

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience in an architect role and 10+ years of experience in digital infrastructure and/or platform engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and align technology decisions with stakeholder objectives, resulting in outcomes that reflect both business priorities and customer expectations.
  • Experience leading or significantly contributing to enterprise-scale architectural transformation efforts or modernization initiatives.
  • Extensive background of architectural patterns, reference models, and emerging technologies relevant to enterprise platforms.
  • Unstoppable drive for modern software development and operations, including automation, self-service capabilities, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
  • Solid understanding of how financial considerations apply to technology decision making.
  • Background in the financial services industry or other complex, highly regulated environments is .
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Benefits

Location: Hybrid (3-4 days per week in our Englewood, CO office)

Compensation: $150 - $180K salary + bonus
