Position Overview
SAVI EHS is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to support a hyperscale data center construction project in Hillsboro, Oregon. This is a short-term assignment (approximately 3 months) with an immediate need, supporting active construction operations on site.
The EHS Manager will oversee daily safety operations, working closely with project leadership and trade partners to ensure all activities remain compliant with OSHA standards, client requirements, and site-specific safety plans. This role may require night shift coverage, depending on project needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee Environmental, Health, and Safety compliance for all on-site construction activities
- Conduct documented daily EHS inspections, audits, and safety observations
- Monitor trade partner activities to ensure adherence to approved safety plans and procedures
- Participate in and review Daily Hazard Analyses (DHAs) and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
- Investigate incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
- Support high-risk operations including cranes, rigging, fall protection, electrical work, and LOTO
- Deliver site-specific safety orientations, toolbox talks, and training as needed
- Track safety metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with project leadership to promote an injury-free workplace and strong safety culture
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of construction EHS experience (data center or mission-critical experience )
- Strong knowledge of OSHA 1926 Construction Standards
- Experience working with multiple subcontractors and trade partners on active job sites
- OSHA 30 required; OSHA 510 or OSHA 500
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety management systems
- BCSP certifications such as CHST, ASP, or CSP are
