We are seeking motivated Fiber Technicians and Underground Technicians to join our growing team. In this hands-on field role, you’ll install, troubleshoot, and maintain advanced telecommunications and fiber optic systems that power businesses and data centers.

What You’ll Do
Installation Responsibilities
- Maintain a valid and active driver’s license.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cabling issues; re-test to ensure signal integrity and optimal performance.
- Terminate and test fiber (ST, SC, LC, and other connectors), verify performance, and accurately label and document results.
- Work in data centers and communications closets — routing cable, dressing bundles, and connecting to network equipment (spines, switches, patch panels).
- Read and interpret blueprints, network diagrams, and installation instructions with precision.
- Deliver clean, neatly labeled installations following ANSI/TIA/EIA and industry standards.
- Coordinate with Project Managers and fellow field technicians to ensure projects stay on scope and on schedule.
Underground Responsibilities
- Maintain a valid and active driver’s license.
- Participate in underground installation projects including digging, trenching, and missile bore operations.
- Assist with conduit placement and cable installation in underground pathways.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in fiber splicing and installation, underground installation, or service technician work within telecommunications (training provided for fiber splicing and installation).
- Hands-on experience using crimpers, wire strippers, punch-down tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, cable plans, and documentation.
- Mechanical knowledge related to cable management and conduit installation.
- Electrical or low-voltage wiring experience is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of OSHA and TIA/EIA safety standards — and commitment to practicing them on every job.
- Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications or technical training are a plus.
- Previous experience in large commercial or data center structured cabling environments.
- Experience with cable managers, patch panels, firestop materials, and fiber splicing.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and transport 5–15 pounds of equipment.
- Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and in tight spaces.
- Able to stand, crouch, and move for extended periods.
- Comfortable working at heights.
