About This RoleAs part of Intersect’s Development team, you’ll help secure and manage the land that enables large-scale clean power projects across Texas, with a strong focus on the Panhandle region. This role partners closely with Land Acquisition leadership, Development, Engineering, Permitting, Legal, and external land agents to move projects from early diligence through financing and construction. Your work will directly support site control, landowner relationships, and community engagement for projects that require precision, trust, and follow-through.
This role is based in Texas, with a strong preference for candidates located in Amarillo or West Texas. The position requires approximately 50% travel
Team OverviewThis team plays a critical role in advancing Intersect’s mission to accelerate the clean energy transition by securing, managing, and stewarding land assets that support utility-scale projects. Working cross-functionally with Development, Engineering, Legal, and external partners, the team ensures projects are built on strong foundations both technically and relationally by fostering trusted landowner relationships and delivering reliable site control at scale. What You’ll Do
Deliver Site Control and Due Diligence • Support site diligence from early evaluation through financial close and construction • Assist in resolving title, survey, and curative matters tied to site control agreements • Help close leases, purchases, easements, surface waivers, and related agreements
Advance Land Acquisition Transactions • Support negotiation of complex land and site acquisition agreements • Coordinate execution and collection of agreements, ancillary documents, and punch-list items • Partner with Legal to support project financing and transaction documentation
Manage Landowner and Agent Relationships • Serve as an ongoing point of contact for 30+ landowners following option execution • Coordinate agreement amendments, access requests, and compliance activities • Support and oversee third-party land agents across multiple site control campaigns
Enable Project and Team Operations • Maintain site control trackers and provide progress reporting across the organization • Support onboarding of landowners into payment and land management systems • Assist with preparation and updates of land acquisition budgets • Provide day-to-day support to Managers, Directors, and VP of Land
Foster Community Engagement • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with landowners and community groups • Support respectful engagement that reflects Intersect’s values and long-term presence in local communities
What You’ll Bring • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field • 2+ years of experience in real estate, finance, management consulting, or a related industry • 1+ years of project management experience supporting multi-step or multi-stakeholder work • Experience supporting real estate or land transactions from diligence through execution • Familiarity with land use, environmental policy, or energy infrastructure development • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence working directly with landowners • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with Google Earth or GIS tools is a plus • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced, iterative environment • Willingness to travel and a strong preference for candidates located near Amarillo, Texas • A collaborative, self-directed work style that values accountability, adaptability, and relationship-building
