Position Overview

If you have construction, fabrication, or technical trade experience and are looking for a hands-on role in a dynamic and collaborative environment, join TechnoGuard as a Field Technician and put your skills to work on data center projects that make an impact.

As a Field Technician, your primary responsibility will be white glove cleaning of data center containment systems, equipment, machinery, and nearby areas, ensuring the systems operate at peak efficiency. In addition, Field Technician responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the installation, fabrication, modification, repair, and deconstruction of containment systems.

TechnoGuard provides full training and support. Field Technicians are flexible team members who perform a variety of tasks as needed, ensuring successful and efficient project delivery.

Although 1-2 years of construction or a related trade experience is , no prior experience in containment systems is required. We are seeking candidates who possess a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

What You’ll Do

  • Containment is an air flow management system that improves the cooling efficiency within data centers; you’ll be responsible for installation, fabrication, and modification of these systems
  • De-contamination is a specialized method of cleaning equipment, machinery, and areas within the data center environment; you’ll be responsible for a variety of decontamination tasks to remove substances such as dust, dirt, debris, etc.
  • In addition, perform daily on-site operations in support of the project such as receiving deliveries, organizing material, maintaining tools and equipment, etc.
  • Follow direction from team leads, foremen, and project managers to complete assignments safely, accurately, and on time.
  • Observe and assess work environments, proactively identifying risks and promoting safety in the data center setting. Communicate with management if issues are present.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and initiative—eagerly learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Maintain professionalism across all tasks by arriving on time and prepared to work each day as scheduled, verifying own timesheets, wearing required PPE, and adhering to company safety and HR policies.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality workmanship and completing assigned scopes of work.

Requirements

  • 0–2 years of technician or construction-related experience; data center work is a plus.
  • U.S. citizenship or naturalized status; must be 18 years or older.
  • Reliable transportation for daily travel to job sites.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Physical capability: exposure to temperatures ranging from 0–100 &degree;F+, lifting up to 50 lbs, and standing or moving up to 90% of the workday.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in noisy environments.
  • Effective communication skills and positive demeanor when working with onsite teams and customers.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Full-time, on-site role. Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 3:00pm, overtime as required.
  • Hourly pay ranges from $18 to $26 / hour, based on experience.
