Fire Damper Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Fire Damper Engineer in the London / M25 region, on behalf of one of our key clients. This role will be a remote position covering London and surrounding areas, working on fire dampers and smoke control systems within data centres, offices, schools and hospitals.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n * Conduct inspections and surveys of fire dampers in commercial, residential, or industrial buildings to ensure compliance with relevant standards (such as BS9999 & BS9991).\n\n * Perform testing and maintenance routines to confirm that fire dampers are in optimal working order.\n\n * Identify faults, carry out cleaning, repairs or replace damaged components as required.\n\n * Document inspection findings, test results and remedial actions taken; prepare detailed reports for clients and building owners.\n\nExperience\n\n * Minimum 2 years’ experience in fire damper engineering or a similar field is required.\n\n * Relevant Certifications: fire and smoke damper certificate is highly recommended.\n\n * Formal Training: A City & Guilds accredited fire damper testing course or similar i.e. PPL or GT1F 04 SCQF Level 5, highly beneficial.\n\nPackage\n\n * Basic salary from £32,000/pa to £40,000/pa depending on qualifications and experience.\n\n * Overtime & Travel Time\n\n * Pension Scheme\n\nAs well as this the successful candidate will be offered a company vehicle, laptop, tools and fuel card
