We can assist with everything from regular pre-planned maintenance as part of your legionella risk control through to large pre-commission cleaning projects for data centres and hospitals.\nWe are proud of our reputation as specialists in water and air hygiene, legionella risk assessment, pre-com cleaning and flushing, commercial plumbing, ductwork cleaning and UV-C air purification.\n\nOur businesses all deliver expert safety and compliance services across the UK, supporting both public and private sector clients, solving complex compliance challenges for operators, developers, estates teams and within facilities management.\n\nAbout the Role\nThe Fire Damper Testing & Installation Engineer will be responsible for inspecting, testing, installing, maintaining, and reporting on fire and smoke dampers within ventilation systems.\nThe successful candidate will ensure all works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with industry regulations, British Standards, and company procedures.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nFire Damper Inspection & Testing\n\nConduct fire damper inspections and operational testing in accordance with BS9999:2107 and DW145 Fire Dampers Guidance and industry best practice.\n\nVerify damper accessibility, condition, operation, and compliance.\n\nInspect fusible links, actuators, retaining angles, and associated components.\n\nIdentify defects and non-compliant installations and recommend remedial actions.\n\nCapture photographic evidence and maintain accurate asset records.\n\nInstallation & Remedial Works\n\nInstall fire dampers and fire/smoke combination dampers.\n\nInstall access panels and undertake associated ductwork modifications.\n\nCarry out remedial works to ensure compliance with current fire safety regulations.\n\nWork alongside HVAC engineers and FM site managers.\n\nCompliance Reporting\n\nComplete digital inspection reports and compliance certificates.\n\nProduce clear and accurate documentation for clients.\n\nUpdate company systems with inspection results and recommendations.\n\nEnsure all work is completed in line with company quality standards.\n\nHealth, Safety & Quality\n\nFollow company Health & Safety policies, RAMS, and safe working procedures.\n\nProduce site-specific RAMS (desirable).\n\nUse appropriate PPE and access equipment.\n\nMaintain high standards of workmanship and professionalism at all times.\n\nEssential Requirements\n\nMinimum 2 years' experience in fire damper testing, installation, or maintenance.\n\nExperience working within commercial and public-sector buildings.\n\nKnowledge of HVAC and ventilation systems.\n\nQualifications\n\nCSCS Blue Card\n\nNVQ level grade 2 (minimum)\n\nFull UK Driving Licence\n\nRight to work in the UK\n\nExperience & Qualifications\n\nUnderstanding of Fire Safety Order 2005 and Building Regulations.\n\nFamiliarity with TR19® Fire Damper Guidance and fire safety compliance requirements.\n\nAbility to read technical drawings.\n\nStrong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.\n\nGood communication and report-writing abilities.\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\n\nWhat We Offer\n\nUp to £45000 basic salary plus OTE\n\n25 days holiday\n\nCompany van, uniform, tablet/laptop\n\nAVIVA pension scheme & annual pay reviews\n\nCareer progression & training opportunities
