Role Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Lab Technician to support AI server platforms, GPU systems, silicon validation, and lab infrastructure. This role is responsible for system bring-up, hardware validation, debugging, firmware updates, and sustaining engineering activities across data center and engineering lab environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, configure, and validate server, CPU, GPU, and motherboard platforms.
- Perform system bring-up, functional testing, and hardware debugging.
- Troubleshoot boot failures, firmware issues, PCIe errors, power, thermal, and hardware faults.
- Install and update BIOS, firmware, Windows, and Linux operating systems.
- Use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers for hardware validation and debug.
- Support rack and stack activities, cable management, inventory control, and lab operations.
- Perform basic PCB rework, soldering, component replacement, and failure analysis.
- Document test results, configurations, and debug findings while collaborating with engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
- AS/BS degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 2–5 years of experience in engineering labs, hardware validation, or data center environments.
- Strong knowledge of PC/server architecture, BIOS, firmware, Linux, and Windows systems.
- Experience with server hardware, system validation, troubleshooting, and hardware bring-up.
- Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, DMMs, and other hardware debug tools.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Qualifications:
- Experience with AI, GPU/CPU, accelerator, or hyperscale data center platforms.
- PCB repair, soldering, and board-level debugging experience.
- Knowledge of power, thermal, and cooling systems.
- Exposure to Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with Jira, inventory management, and NPI/semiconductor environments.
