HVAC Project Manager (Data Centre Technologies EMEA)

Location: Ireland or UK

Reporting to the Projects Director, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project management, particularly in the data centre construction and / or mechanical engineering sectors.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Serve as the primary contact during the design, manufacture, and site delivery phases of large assigned projects.
  • Manages day-to-day aspects of all assigned projects
  • Manages day-to-day client interactions
  • Develop and execute project plans ensuring alignment with both company and client requirements.
  • Preparing and maintaining PM records and documentation for each project
  • Supporting the design team and the document controller in compilation and submission of project technical documentation including technical submittals.
  • Track project milestones, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with approved specifications and contract terms and conditions.
  • Manage site technical teams to coordinate our presence and activities on site throughout the project.
  • Produce and manage all health and safety documentation for project site activities.
  • Deliver all post production equipment documentation including but not limited to as built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, spare parts lists etc.
  • Assist in liaison between project stakeholders, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Leads the team in the organisation of factory testing for client related tests.
  • Effectively manage change orders and variations throughout the project.
  • Ensure project procedures are in accordance with the approved customer specifications.
  • Attendance in meetings (in person and remotely) as required with client and other 3rd parties to coordinate projects.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports on project progress and commercials to the senior management team.
  • Travel to sites as required.
  • Resolve / escalate project issues in a timely fashion
  • Provide timely responses to all project support requests
  • Assist finance, when necessary, regarding commercial issues.
  • Communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
  • Effectively communicate relevant project information to management
  • Understands revenue models, P&L and cost to completion projections.
  • Leads the team in the organisation of factory testing for client related tests.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualification in project management, related field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Experience with Procore and BIM360 but not essential.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Previous experience in a project management role in a construction / M&E environment preferably within the Data Centre sector.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC and Air Handling systems.
  • Is able to communicate difficult / sensitive information tactfully.
  • Health & Safety supervisor / management level qualification (SSSTS / SMSTS) desirable.
