About Us
BenBau Group is an international construction company with Irish roots, operating across Germany, Denmark, and Sweden. As we continue to grow, we are strengthening our internal IT and security foundations. We’re looking for a Part-Time IT Support & Information Security Specialist to support our Berlin office and contribute to the development of core IT and cyber-security processes.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on IT support but also wants to grow in the direction of information security, cyber risk, and digitalisation.
What You’ll Do
IT Support & Operations
- Provide day-to-day IT support (laptops, email, VPN, accounts, software issues).
- Set up equipment for new employees and manage onboarding/offboarding tasks.
- Maintain asset inventory and ensure devices are updated and secure.
- Administer Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace basics.
- Provide remote support through screen-sharing tools.
- Help establish BenBau’s first information security framework (aligned with ISO 27001).
- Draft essential policies (acceptable use, passwords/MFA, device policy, incident response).
- Run an initial security risk assessment and help implement improvements.
- Support security awareness initiatives for staff.
- Work with our insurance partners to meet required cyber-security controls.
- Maintain a simple cyber risk register and ensure core protections are in place.
- Support development of a basic incident response plan.
- Complete cyber insurance questionnaires and ensure compliance.
- Act as technical advisor during ERP selection (e.g., IFS Cloud).
- Map existing systems and identify integration points.
- Identify opportunities for digitalisation and process improvement.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in IT support or system administration
- Good understanding of Windows environments and basic networking
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and Google accounts
- Interest in information security, cyber risk, or ISO frameworks
- Strong problem-solving skills and proactive attitude
- Good communication in English
- Ability to work independently
- Availability to work on-site in Berlin as needed
Nice to Have:
- Early experience with security policies or frameworks
- Exposure to cyber insurance or risk management
- Understanding of ERP systems
