Inventory Control Manager
Position Type: Full-time, Exempt, Salary
Reports to: Production Manager/Plant Manager
Supervisory Responsibility: Inventory Control Team

Summary Objective
The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the accuracy, traceability, and control of all materials and components across production and storage areas. This position ensures effective coordination between procurement, warehouse, and production teams while managing digital tracking systems, forecasting, and inventory reporting to support operational efficiency and project timelines.
Essential Functions
- Serve as the primary point of contact for warehouse, procurement, and vendor coordination.
- Lead material planning and forecasting activities to support production schedules and minimize shortages or excess inventory.
- Oversee inbound scheduling and traffic control, ensuring efficient and timely receipt of materials.
- Manage communication and coordination with offsite warehouse points of contact to ensure inventory visibility and alignment.
- Coordinate with vendors and procurement teams on material deliveries, discrepancies, and status updates.
- Implement and maintain digital material tracking systems for real-time visibility and accuracy.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations to validate theoretical vs. actual inventory levels.
- Manage ERP/MRP based inventory tracking database platforms, and traceability system
- Other inventory control platforms as required.
- Manage inventory data and document control, ensuring consistency and traceability.
- Assign and maintain accurate inventory locations across storage and production facilities.
- Lead inventory audits to verify stock integrity and compliance with documentation standards.
- Perform inventory analysis and generate KPI reports to support continuous improvement and decision-making.

Work Location
This position will be located at our Normandy Facility in Jacksonville, FL. This position is not approved for telecommuting or working remotely.
Work Environment
Most work is performed in an office environment. May involve exposure to indoor and outdoor environments.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Occasional evening or weekend work as needed.
Travel
Some occasional local day travel may also be necessary. Occasional travel to customer job sites and conferences may be required.
Required Education and Experience
- 1+ year experience in supply chain, material control, logistics within a heavy manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Strong understanding of supply-chain, inventory control principles, and traceability systems.
- Proven leadership and team supervision skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and reporting tools.
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
Education and Experience
- Familiarity with 5S, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement principles.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and data-driven inventory control practices with a strong understanding of manufacturing workflows.
Work Authorization
Must be authorized to work in the USA.
