Summary Objective
The Inventory Control Superintendent supports the Inventory Control Manager by overseeing and helping maintain the accuracy, traceability, and control of all materials and components across production and storage areas. The Superintendent will help establish and enforce inventory control policies and procedures. This role ensures effective coordination between procurement, the Distribution Center, manufacturing and production teams while helping to manage digital tracking systems, forecasting, and inventory reporting to support operational efficiency and project timelines.
Essential Functions
- Support the Inventory Control Manager in daily oversight of inventory control operations.
- Serve as another point of contact for warehouse, procurement, and vendor coordination.
- Coordinate material planning and forecasting activities to support production schedules and minimize shortages or excess inventory.
- Help to oversee inbound scheduling and traffic control, ensuring efficient and timely receipt of materials.
- Assist in managing communication and coordination with offsite warehouse points of contact to ensure inventory visibility and alignment.
- Coordinate with vendors and procurement teams on material deliveries, discrepancies, and status updates.
- Implement and maintain digital material tracking systems for real-time visibility and accuracy.
- Assist with monthly cycle counts to validate theoretical vs. actual inventory levels.
- Help to maintain ERP/MRP based inventory tracking database platforms, and traceability system
- Manage inventory data and document control, ensuring consistency and traceability.
- Assign and maintain accurate inventory locations across storage and production facilities.
- Assist with leading inventory audits to verify stock integrity and compliance with documentation standards.
- Coordinate with the Material Control team to ensure material are being directed to the proper locations
- Assist with the onboarding and training of new Inventory Control personnel
- Perform inventory analysis and generate KPI reports to support continuous improvement and decision-making.

Work Location
This position is located at the Normandy Facility in Jacksonville, FL. This position is not approved for telecommuting or remote work.
Work Environment
Work is performed in both office and production floor environments, with routine exposure to indoor and outdoor storage areas.
Physical Demands
The employee is regularly required to sit, walk, communicate, and use hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, and color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required depending on production needs.
Travel
Some local day travel may be required. Occasional travel to customer sites or industry-related events may be necessary.
Required Education and Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in inventory control, logistics, materials management, or related manufacturing operations.
- Strong understanding of supply chain, inventory control principles and traceability systems.
- Familiarity with 5S/6S and lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
Education and Experience
- Experience leading or supervising teams in material handling, warehousing, or logistics.
- Basic working knowledge of heavy equipment used in material movement (forklifts, telehandlers, etc.).
Work Authorization
Must be authorized to work in the USA.
