Working hours: 8:00am–4:00pm, 8:30am–4:30pm, 9:00am–5:00pm or 10:00am–6:00pm

We are looking for an experienced IT Network Administrator to support the implementation, maintenance and continued improvement of a complex IT network environment.

\n

This is a varied technical role covering wired and wireless networking, VMware administration, network security, infrastructure projects and third-line support. You will help maintain a reliable and secure network across multiple sites while supporting ongoing upgrades and improvement projects.

Key responsibilities\n

    \n
  • Install, maintain and troubleshoot Cisco and HP wired and wireless networks.
  • \n

  • Provide third-line technical support for complex infrastructure and networking issues.
  • \n

  • Administer and support VMware environments.
  • \n

  • Maintain and patch network switches, wireless LAN controllers and access points.
  • \n

  • Monitor and maintain network communication cabinets and associated infrastructure.
  • \n

  • Support the design and development of network architecture and infrastructure models.
  • \n

  • Manage cloud connectivity and ensure reliable access to cloud-based services.
  • \n

  • Administer network security controls, including access control lists and Cisco ISE.
  • \n

  • Conduct vulnerability testing, Microsoft baseline assessments and vulnerability remediation.
  • \n

  • Maintain high availability across internet connectivity, servers, wireless networks, telephony and SAN storage.
  • \n

  • Support disaster recovery planning, testing and implementation.
  • \n

  • Assist with infrastructure installations, system upgrades and wider IT projects.
  • \n

  • Conduct Wi-Fi signal surveys and resolve issues involving coverage, interference and signal overlap.
  • \n

  • Maintain accurate network diagrams, technical documentation and asset records.
  • \n

  • Participate in occasional out-of-hours remote support and installation work.
  • \n

Essential skills and experience\n

    \n
  • CCNA certification.
  • \n

  • Hands-on experience supporting Cisco networking environments.
  • \n

  • Strong network troubleshooting skills across LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi environments.
  • \n

  • Experience maintaining switches, wireless controllers and access points.
  • \n

  • Previous experience providing third-line infrastructure or network support.
  • \n

  • A good understanding of network security, access controls and vulnerability remediation.
  • \n

  • Strong communication, documentation and problem-solving skills.
  • \n

Desirable experience\n

  • HP switching and wireless technologies.

  • Cloud connectivity and hybrid infrastructure.
