Our client is seeking a Jira Administrator to support, configure, and optimize Jira and related Atlassian tools across multiple teams. This individual will act as the system owner for Jira, partnering with product, engineering, QA, and leadership to ensure workflows, reporting, and governance align with Agile and organizational best practices.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $45.00 to $55.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:

- Administer Jira instances, including projects, workflows, issue types, fields, screens, permission schemes, and notifications.
- Design and implement custom workflows, fields, automations, and configurations to support Agile and business processes.
- Build and manage dashboards, reports, and custom charts for ad hoc analysis and recurring reporting.
- Respond to stakeholder requests for historical data, metrics, and point-in-time reports.
- Manage user access and security, including provisioning, roles, groups, and access governance.
- Evaluate, install, and manage Jira plugins and marketplace apps, including tools for custom reporting, advanced issue structuring, and visualizations.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate reporting, workflow, and visibility needs into scalable Jira solutions.
- Ensure Jira configurations adhere to best practices, performance standards, and governance guidelines.

- 2 to 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Jira Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Jira workflows, schemes, automation rules, and permissions.
- Experience supporting Agile and SDLC environments.
- Proficiency in Jira reporting and dashboard creation.
- Experience with Confluence administration, including spaces, templates, and permissions.
- Ability to work directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- AI experience ().
- Atlassian Jira Administrator certification ().
- Experience with Jira Cloud and/or Data Center ().
- Scripting or automation experience such as Groovy or ScriptRunner ().
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale Jira environments across multiple teams and projects ().
- Familiarity with DevOps or CI/CD tool integrations such as GitHub, GitLab, or Jenkins ().
- Previous experience in regulated or large enterprise environments ().
