Best in Business, 2022 THE POSITION: The Journeyman Electrician position requires daily on-site attendance, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and proficiency with construction equipment. Candidates must understand blueprints, have their own tools, and be familiar with special systems like fire alarms. Responsibilities include installing switch gear, performing control wiring, and using advanced wire pulling techniques. Strong time management skills and knowledge of the Electrical Code (NEC) are essential. OSHA certification is , with training provided if needed. RESPONSIBILITIES:Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in multi-family, commercial, and industrial settings. Interpret blueprints and technical diagrams. Install wiring and lighting systems. Ensure compliance with state and local building regulations based on the Electrical Code (NEC). Troubleshoot electrical issues. Inspect components like transformers and circuit breakers. Perform control wiring for equipment. Supervise apprentices. Plan electrical systems for new buildings. Handle emergency repairs to minimize downtime. QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years' experience in commercial construction as an electrician Experience working in data center and high-rise projects ** Ability to install and make up switch gear (Cad weld). Proficient in control wiring for equipment. Advanced wire pulling techniques (e.g., Tuggers). Knowledge of the Electrical Code (NEC) and installation methods. Comprehensive knowledge of the construction process and equipment. Capable of performing tasks such as bending, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, and pulling throughout the day. OSHA certification (training provided if needed). Basic knowledge of special systems (e.g., fire alarms, sound, voice data) ** Daily on-site attendance required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Thorough understanding of blueprints. Possession of own Journeyman tools.
