Lead Cable Technician – $25–$40/hr (DOE)
We are currently hiring Lead Cable Technicians with 5+ years of experience performing low voltage cable installations in commercial environments. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can run jobs, guide technicians, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to industry standards. Immediate openings available in New York City.

Lead Cable Technician Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise crews performing structured cabling installations in commercial new construction and retrofit environments
- Pull, route, dress, and terminate CAT5, CAT6, CAT6A, and related low-voltage cabling
- Terminate phone jacks and dress/terminate distribution frames (66 & 110 blocks, patch panels)
- Install and oversee support structures including ladder racks, equipment racks, j-hooks, and cable trays
- Perform rack & stack, IDF/MDF buildouts, server rack assembly, and patch panel installations
- Read, interpret, and execute work from blueprints, schematics, and line diagrams
- Coordinate daily tasks, enforce quality control, and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards
- Communicate effectively with project managers, site supervisors, and clients
Lead Cable Technician Requirements:
- 5+ years of commercial low voltage / structured cabling experience
- Proven experience leading crews or acting as a site lead
- Strong knowledge of BICSI, EIA, TIA, and NEC standards
- Experience with fiber installations including SC/LC connectors, anaerobic terminations, and splicing (highly )
- Ability to troubleshoot cabling issues and provide field solutions
- Must have own basic telecom tools (punch down tools, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, PPE, etc.)
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Compensation & Benefits:
