About Bonsai Building ServicesBonsai Building Services, LLC is seeking a dependable Lead Mechanical Insulator / Foreman to help lead commercial and industrial mechanical insulation work in the field. This role is for an experienced professional who can set the standard for safety, productivity, quality, attendance, and communication. Our work is focused on mechanical insulation for commercial and industrial projects, including piping, equipment, ductwork, metal jacketing, and related systems; it is not residential insulation work. Bonsai offers direct access to ownership, stable year-round work, and the opportunity to grow with a close-knit company.

Key Responsibilities· Lead field installation of commercial and industrial mechanical insulation safely, accurately, and professionally.
· Lead small crews and help coordinate daily work with project managers, customers, general contractors, and other trades.
· Install insulation on piping, equipment, ductwork, and related mechanical systems according to project requirements.
· Install and oversee metal jacketing work using slip rollers, brakes, benders, and related metalworking tools.
· Support field layout, sequencing, material needs, manpower needs, productivity, and daily priorities.
· Maintain jobsite quality, safety, cleanliness, and organization throughout the project.
· Complete or assist with documentation, including work tickets, JSAs, work permits, production reports, and QA/QC reports.
· Train helpers and less-experienced mechanics in safe, efficient, professional work practices.
· Communicate jobsite issues early and professionally to ownership, project managers, customers, and other trades.
· Drive large pickups with enclosed trailers when needed and qualified.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications· Strong industrial mechanical insulation experience.
· Ability to lead field installation work safely, accurately, and professionally.
· Ability to communicate with customers, general contractors, foremen, coworkers, and other trades.
· Ability to help maintain jobsite productivity, safety, quality, and documentation.
· Reliable transportation to and from worksites.
· Strong attendance, punctuality, and personal accountability.
· Ability to follow and enforce company processes, safety rules, and jobsite procedures.
· Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch throughout the workday.
· Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs unassisted.
· Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
· OSHA 30, or willingness to obtain OSHA 30 before starting jobsite work.
Helpful Qualifications· Prior foreman, lead mechanic, or crew-lead experience.
· Industrial mechanical insulation and data center project experience.
· Advanced metal jacketing experience.
· Ability to read plans, drawings, specifications, and insulation schedules.
· Experience planning materials, manpower, daily production, or jobsite sequencing.
· Scaffolding experience.
· Experience training helpers or mechanics.
· Bilingual skills.
