As part of the AWS Applied AI Solutions organization, we have a vision to provide business applications, leveraging Amazon's unique experience and expertise, that are used by millions of companies worldwide to manage day-to-day operations. We will accomplish this by accelerating our customers' businesses through delivery of intuitive and differentiated technology solutions that solve enduring business challenges. AWS Applied AI Solutions (AAIS) is building toward a future where every business innovates with Amazon AI teammates. To get there, we build AI solutions that improve human capabilities and transform entire business functions. We create end-to-end products that surprise and delight out-of-the-box, making complex things easy and hard things possible, with no cloud experience required. We start with customers who embrace the future and build bridges to meet the rest where they are. We pursue ambitious opportunities with conviction, and we are looking for builders who share that mindset.

The Regional Higher Ed Lead is the single point of ownership for AWS Academy within an assigned geographic territory. This role is accountable for growing and managing a portfolio of higher education institutions, advising on technical curriculum and cloud/AI strategy, and serving as the trusted advisor connecting institutions to the right combination of AWS education programs. You will own the institutional relationship end-to-end — from pipeline development, through onboarding, through long-term account health — while defining the technical standards and requirements that ensure institutions successfully implement and deliver Academy courses. You will work across AWS teams (sales, public sector, partner organizations, curriculum, and platform engineering) to bring coordinated value to higher education institutions in your region.

Key job responsibilities
• Shape the strategy and mission of the AWS training program.

• Develop and maintain technical training content, lab exercises, presentations, and supporting materials.

• Partner with key vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure training content is accurate and effective.

• Mentor and develop internal and external authorized trainers through the Train-the-Trainer program.

A day in the life
You will start the day facilitating an instructor-led AWS technical training session for a cohort of customer developers and architects guiding them through hands-on lab exercises on core AWS services. Between delivery sessions you will collaborate with content developers to review, update, and tailor course materials ensuring technical accuracy reflects the latest AWS service releases. You will work alongside the T&C team in Stockholm, working back from the customer and shaping their training requirements into learning programs. No two days are identical: one week you may deliver foundational cloud training to a new enterprise customer in Stockholm; the next you may be supporting a cohort of learners working towards their first AWS exam.
