Lighting Designer

Troy/ Detroit OR Grand Rapids

Direct Hire/ Permanent Placement

$35 – $65/ hr. (Jr.-Sr. level roles open), Full benefits, Flex/ Hybrid schedule, Bonus, Profit Sharing

THE CLIENT

This particular client is a mid-sized A&E Firm (200 ppl, 50 in EE) who work on a wide variety of projects, including: Healthcare, Education, Science & Technology, Sports stadiums, Mission Critical/ Data Centers, Hi-rise/ multi-unit residential, mixed-use, etc.

OVERVIEW

The ideal Candidate will be tasked with the development and execution of overall project lighting design concepts.

ROLE / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide the design, development and documentation of lighting systems and associated control systems on small, medium, and large and complex projects

• Research and document any required code review, product research

• Develop materials for client presentations and review meetings and present lighting and control system concepts/ designs to clients and/ or for design review, site visits

• Develop and edit project specifications for lighting and control systems

• Review product shop drawings/ submittals

• Review and respond to RFIs

• Develop construction administration field observation reports

REQUIRED/ HIGHLY EXPERIENCE

• 3+ yrs of related lighting design experience

• NCQLP Lighting Certified (LC) and/ or CLD certification ()

• Autodesk Revit required, MS 365 required, MS BIM coordination (a plus)

• Industry standard lighting calculation software (Visual, ElumTools, AGi32, etc.)
