- Compensation: $90,000 - $130,000 annually (based on experience)

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE LINUX SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

- \n
- Design, implement, and maintain Linux infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls using industry best practices
- Monitor system performance, security, and availability; implement proactive solutions to prevent downtime
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and security hardening to maintain compliance standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with minimal disruption to business operations
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, procedures, and disaster recovery protocols
- Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and infrastructure requirements
- Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Conduct security audits and implement remediation measures
- Provide on-call support on a rotating basis for critical infrastructure issues

EXPERIENCE FOR THE LINUX SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR
\n
- \n
- 5+ years of hands-on Linux system administration experience
- Strong proficiency with RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or Debian distributions
- Advanced knowledge of networking, DNS, DHCP, and firewall configuration
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, or Hyper-V)
- Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash) and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef)
- Solid understanding of Linux security hardening and compliance frameworks (CIS, NIST)
