As a Low Voltage Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications systems and equipment. Responsibilities

• Install and terminate copper/fiber cables
• Mount and install telecom equipment such as racks, cabinets, patch panels, and switches
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
• Troubleshoot and maintain systems, performing upgrades as needed
• Work in diverse environments: commercial buildings, data centers, residential properties
• Follow all safety standards and regulations
• Maintain accurate records of installations and maintenance activities

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training
• 2–5 years of experience in structured cabling or low-voltage installation
• Knowledge of cabling standards and network infrastructure
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities
• Physical ability to lift equipment and work in various environments
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (CDL a plus)
• Certifications such as BICSI or FOA are
